Overview

If you’re a huge Guild Wars 2 PvP fan, this is your chance to shine. The Regional Qualifying and Invitational Tournaments will put you and your team up against some of the best opposition with a $10,000 cash prize pool and the title of international champion on the line.

Whether you’re into competing or just want to watch the tournaments, we’ll have something to fulfill your competitive spirit.

Events

Regional Qualifying Tournaments

Hosted and administered by Mist League

  • European Tournament: July 27-28, 2013 – Registration has ended.
  • North American Tournament: August 3-4, 2013 – Registration has ended.

Invitational Tournament

  • PAX Prime Weekend – August 31, 2013
  • Renaissance Hotel, Seattle, WA

How to Register

  1. Put together your best five-person Guild Wars 2 PvP team.
  2. Complete and submit your team registration form. Make sure that you meet all requirements listed in the official rules and eligibility.

Regional Qualifying Tournament

The registered first-place teams from the North American and European regional qualifying tournaments will each receive:

  • Team placement in the Guild Wars 2 Invitational Tournament on August 31 at the Renaissance Hotel in Seattle, WA
  • Airfare for five to Seattle, WA
  • Hotel accommodations (two rooms per team)
  • Five four-day passes to PAX Prime 2013
  • Studio tour of ArenaNet

Invitational Tournament

The top two teams in the Guild Wars 2 Invitational Tournament will receive the following prizes:

  • First place: $7,500 cash prize
  • Second place: $2,500 cash prize

Format

Regional Qualifying Tournaments

  • Single match elimination
  • Teams of five players competing in five vs. five matches
  • Matches consist of a best two out of three games
  • Map rotation:
    • Forest of Niflhel
    • Legacy of the Foefire
    • Battle of Kyhlo

Invitational Tournament

  • Single match elimination
  • Teams of five players competing in five vs. five matches
  • Matches consist of a best three out of five games
  • Map rotation:

Official Rules and Code of Conduct

  • Disconnects – If a player disconnects during a regional qualifying tournament game, play must continue. The match or game will not be restarted. In the event of a server crash or other event that causes all players to disconnect the match game will be restarted.
  • Match Start – Play will begin when all players have pressed the ready button or when the judge manually begins the match game. Judges will manually begin a game after all players have entered into the map and has told the players to leave spectator mode. If all players are not present and ready at the designated start time judges will wait no longer than five minutes to start the game.
