After putting our very first World Tournament Series event in the books just a few hours ago in Beijing, China, the ArenaNet team, in partnership with our Chinese publishing partner KongZhong, is happy to announce that the next World Tournament Series event will take place in early March at PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts. Just like the tournament in Beijing, there’s $50,000 up for grabs!
In the coming weeks, we’ll provide more information on how you and your team can participate, but for now, it’s time to build those team rosters, jump into PvP, and get practicing! You’ll have plenty of time to experiment and refine your strategy as the qualifying events aren’t set to kick off until early January.
When creating your teams, make sure to keep in mind the following eligibility requirements:
- All players must be at least 18 years of age (or age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is greater);
- All players must be able to provide proof of eligibility to travel to the United States (such as an international passport);
- All players must be legal residents of the European Union, Iceland, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey (for the purpose of this tournament, residents of these countries will also be deemed part of the European Union), the United States, Canada, or Mexico; and
- All players must be current residents or citizens of the regions their teams are representing.
We look forward to seeing you and your team on the battlefield!
